I can't believe it. I tested heterozygous for the a1298c mutation (MTHFR), so Dr. Zed has me taking prescription strength Folgard AND heparin (2x/day).
This means I'll be doing EIGHT shots everyday. EIGHT!! In ten days of stimulation, that will be EIGHTY shots. God...the things we go through.

holy cow. 8 shots doesn't sound like a fun time to me. but it'll all be worth it in the end. dear god, your kids better be *good* to mama :o)
since you're hetero on the mthfr, in addition to being borderline on the other test, is hubby okay with you taking heparin?
Wow, that is a lot of shots. But it's all for a good cause and I'm glad he caught it now.
Yikes!
Damn, 80 shots! It will all be worth it, it will all be worth it, it will all be worth it...
I am here from Sienna's site (yours being the only lovely blogger awardee whose blog I wasn't familiar with). I see that you had periods that were too light, and I am wondering, how light is too light?? Because I only bleed with any kind of FLOW for about 2 days, then a light drip for a few more days. Is this too light??? Well, I have my 1st RE appt. in a couple of weeks, so I guess I'll ask then. But it's good to get the word from the street, too.
I'm sorry you have to take all those shots, but am glad you know all this info in time for your next IVF. Keeping everything crossed that all those shots will end up in a giant BFP!!!
the straight perm is torture. bc i have long, thick hair, it takes at least 5 hours and then fumes are enough to give me a splitting headache for days.
dh is already going on about how my hair is gonna stink while we're trying to sleep (can't wash hair for 72 hours). heehee. i hope he doesn't banish me to the couch :o(
ps - when i see a comment from you and click on your name, it goes straight to your blogger profile, but there's no direct way to get to your blog. instead i have to look for you in my own blog roll if i wanna get to your page. did you set it up like this on purpose??
ugh...8 shots... i feel for you. i really do. someday you'll look back and realize this was all worth it :)
