Wow! I can't believe it! It's already been nine weeks. I'm still in a bit of shock to think that I'm actually (still) pregnant.
On Tuesday, I went in for my second ultrasound and the baby is doing well! Heartrate is up to 181bpm and it was measuring at 8w6d -- exactly as it should be. At that appointment I had a long discussion with the OB to discuss options for genetic testing, and we decided to do the NT and if necessary, an amnio. It seems that no matter how far along in the pregnancy we get, there's always another hurdle to cross.
As for the morning sickness, thank you all so much for your advice. It's been pretty brutal to say the least, but no one except for Doc seems to be too concerned about my lack of eating/appetite. My OB said not to worry, the baby will get all the nutrients it needs. But, I did follow your suggestions and I've been making some protein smoothies to help me get through the day.
The other good news...I'm almost completely weaned off the progesterone and estrogen supplements! Saturday will be my last dose of PIO and my last patch. After that, I'll only be on one endometrin insert and one oral estrace. Something to look forward to!!
Do genes matter?

Wow - I can't believe you are already 9 wks! The reality of it must be starting to sink in. I hope you nausea goes away. Maybe backing off of the extra hormone meds will help. So glad things are going well for you and your little bean!
I found extra progesterone made me feel sicker. It was a relief to be off the meds.
I'm glad you are doing smoothies. Oatmeal in the morning is also a favorite of mine. Be sure to add cinnamon and ginger.
Each hurdle is a relief, and a celebration. We can't help but worry about the next step.
So glad to have you at the same place as me (okay, you're a couple of days ahead of me). Know you are not alone!!!
Glad everything is looking good with baby! 9 weeks already - wow!!! Hope the nausea gets better - hopefully it eases up soon.
Wow...9 weeks already?! Whoohoo! Such good news about PIO....Iam looking forward to that day! Glad to hear your little one is doing great!
Hi there - my first time commenting on your post. Your story gives me a lot of hope. I am at the beginning stages with C.CRM after 2 failed cycles - mine were worse than yours (hardly any eggs at all). I am thrilled to see that going there worked for you - you must be over the moon to be at 9 weeks! Congrats!
Also, I really appreciate your Korean references because I am Korean as well and can relate (Korean soap operas are really addictive, and Korean moms are...well...only a Korean can understand!)
