Alright, I'm typically a pretty calm and unemotional person. I pride myself in being logical and not letting my emotions get to me, but today, that went out the window.
I just came back from work and all of sudden noticed...holy sh*t, my boobs don't hurt! And then I started freaking out -- big time, like, huge! I called up Doc who was working late and told him what was going on. He said that if I wanted to, I could go down to the lab and get the bloodwork done stat and see the results tonight. What kind of question was that? Did I want to?
So, I drove like a maniac to get to the lab before it closed and by the time I got back home, washed the dishes and folded the laundry (I do housework to calm myself), Doc had called to with the results and it was 2320 (38 hours doubling time)! Of course, Doc scolded me for stressing myself out, but when all you've got is symptoms and they start going away, I'm going to start freaking out. That's just the way it goes.
But, now I can sleep easy, at least for tonight and then we'll see what triggers my next big anxiety attack. Freakin' a...does the panic ever end?

The panic gets better after the firs trimester when the NT scan is over. At least for me. It did. And I took hpts every day for like ten days straight and then other day for the first few weeks. I spent a fortune on those damn things. soooo glad you could get this reassurance! Hang in there! Xoxo.
I can't even imagine how stressful it is. Even though you got your BFP, you had to work so hard for it - I hope it gets better as your pregnancy progresses. Totally understandable though! Glad everything is OK!!
Yea for good numbers! Sorry you had to stress to get them. The first trimester is hard. However, once you start feeling your baby it's much more calming. Your doing great!
So glad you got the extra beta and now can relax (ha!) for a bit.
When is your first ultrasound? That's the next hurdle.
glad everything is okay as well!! I can only imagine how panicky you must have felt!
Just wanted to add that it's so nice to have someone going through exactly the same thing at the same time.
how could you not freak out, right? i mean you've only waited for this moment for your whole entire life! i know this won't help, but i think i mentioned that i never really had any symptoms. and with twins, i'm still surprised by that! i never had any morning sickness either. so "try" not to stress if you don't either!
glad you got your reassurance though. do what you have to!
hoping the first tri zooms by!
I'm so glad you wrote this!!! It's just what I need to read right now. Just as I was going back into your history I was getting concerned that my boobs are not sore (I'm only 4w5d from CCRM). I begged my nurse for another HCG when I go for my estradiol/progesterone check next week... she wrote the order (thankfully). Congrats!!!
